Remap

Hi All,

I have an Audi A4 Avant stock (150BP) and im looking to get a stage 1 remap. This will give me (195BP) i've been quoted ££ for a guy to come to my house a remap it on my drive? is this a thing or should i go to a tuner?

For best results I'd get a tuner with a Dyno. As they'll tailor the map to the car.

I'll second a dyno and custom map. Probably also a good idea to use someone who knows the car so that the necessary components can be checked for good health before putting extra stress on them.

Can i ask, has anyone ever noticed an improvement in the mpg after a remap or is the idea of more power AND greater efficiency just a myth?

It's not unheard of. But think it depends on the map, engine etc.
