Unable to add petrol in A3 e-Tron (17)

Have a half tank of petrol.  Tried to fill this morning and petrol will not go into the tank.  The petrol flows back out of the filler as if the tank is full.  Any one have an idea of what’s up?

I'm pretty certain that you have to disable / isolate the battery before you can fill up - it's a safety feature - so there is probably a button in the car?

Boy oh boy, what a performance just to throw £20 worth of squirt in, I just open the flap and unscrew the cap, simples.
