Hello,

Currently my car is equipped with: 1K0 201 801 B

Upon some searching I found a lot of some other compatibles, but not "B", does by any chance anyone knows what it stands for or is it any special ? 😄

e.g. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32694354651.html

Hello Vdm,

As I’ve said before, as I understand it, yes, the last letter is indeed significant, and does signify a difference.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

You didn't say this before.

Well I saw, that part compatible with 3-4 different serials so I thought maybe it's fine with mine too, but I see, thanks.

Not on this thread, but on other threads enquiring about the significance of the last letter of part numbers.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi it probably is compatible if the site says it is as the letter is a build year denomination, for example I have just bought two engine mounts which have the supersession numbers stamped on the box same part number as the originals just a different letter, so are they the wrong ones?, I think not.

Steve.
