GiantJay Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 (edited) New to the Audi brand and have a few important questions I was hoping to get advice here: looking to buy a 2019 A4 Avant 35TFSI/SLine/Manual/petrol/11,000miles/ at an Audi Retailer. or 2018 A4 Avant AllRoad Quatro/prestige Trim Line/Automatic/3L/TDI/23,000miles what are the most critical items i should look for or request from the dealer? which do you recommend? all help and guidance very appreciated as i am not familiar with the brand or models at all. thanks for any help Edited November 4, 2021 by GiantJay
dalswinton Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Hi, I have owned 12 Audi's over the past 25 years, all but 2 being A4 Avant diesels, I am currently on my 2nd A4 Allroad, a 67 plate which I cannot fault. all of my cars have been 2ltr, I see the one you are considering is a 3ltr. as the car has only 23,000 miles I would not be concerned, as that engine is fitted across the Audi range, if you are buying from a main dealer, you will probably be offered a 2 year warranty anyway, regarding other things to look out for, in my opinion there is nothing really, as long as you are happy with the car. by the way you have extra ground clearance with the Allroad as well, and there is no a great difference in fuel consumption. hope that helps Brian. 1
GiantJay Posted November 6, 2021 Author Posted November 6, 2021 we found a 2019 A4 Avant TDI Sline with 22kmiles in Grey metallic. Under the Audi Approved scheme with 16 months remaining on factory warranty. It wasnt part of our original options as the car hadnt left the certification process for resale the day we were at the Audi dealer. Our first used car and first Audi so fingers crossed. thanks again for the reply and input.
dalswinton Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Hi, Glad you found something, sounds a nice car, all the best Brian.
