Andy Op Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 I managed to slide my car into the kerb in last weeks snow. The drivers side front tyre hit the kerb at an angle. There was a loud thud. When I inspected it there was a large scratch on the alloy. I have had the tracking fixed and the tyre pressures checked but when I drive at anything above 30mph, I can hear what I can only describe as a whirring sound from the tyre. No visible sign of damage to the alloy beyond the scratch. Has anyone had a similar problem? Wondering if I have done some damage I can’t see which would explain the noise. It definitely wasn’t there before.
Steve Q Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 It could have knocked the driveshaft or maybe damaged a wheel bearing.
