rich Nichols Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Hi Last week I was driving in torrential rain and subsequently went through a number of large puddles. After a few minutes the engine cut out and a ESP light came on. We ran a check and it picked up a Throttle sensor error which was replaced but hasn't solved the problem. The car re started after about 20 minutes but then cut out again after a couple of minutes. If you leave it for 30 minutes it starts again and then cuts out again. There are no longer any faults on the detection device. When the car runs, it runs smoothly. I don't know if the problem is related to the rain or that was just a coincidence. Any ideas would be welcomed. The car is A6 2007 diesel
Stevey Y Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Hi sound like it could be water ingress in a fuse box, was the new throttle sensor recoded. Steve.
