Stuart Cullingford Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 I have an Audi S4 B9 , on cold mornings I only get vapour from the right hand side and when putting my hand over the tailpipes it feels like there is less pressure on the left side, is this normal ?
Brianed Ward Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 It seems normal but would like to hear from others too.
Pepper Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 I'm going to make a wild guess here....that it's to do with the "pipes" on one side are purely cosmetic...and only one side actually "exhausts" ....as I said...it's only a guess....so please don't shoot me down...
RichPow Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 I have just bought an A4 Avant - 2.0 Tfsi quattro 252 - it has single dual tailpipes and I noticed vapour coming from both sides yesterday when running in the cold - not ure if that helps, but I was under the impression that they are both real pipes and not one being fake on the quattro and S4. The god news, I was told many years ago by a garage owner that vapour coming out of the eshaust is a sign the engine is running correctly.
Magnet Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 ‘The good news……’ - really! There are many variations of ‘vapour’ being emitted from exhausts, most of which are undesirables. What garage in Cardiff is that then, so I can avoid them? Unless they are having you on! Kind regards, Gareth.
