Headlights flashing ?

When I turn on my ignition the headlights flash very fast  then stop when the car starts ?

This could be an issue with the headlights switch. I know on the a6 c5 a failing switch can cause all sorts of odd headlight issues. I appreciate my car is older but it's definitely worth looking at. Alternatively you could get a diagnostic check carried out or get an auto electrician to take a look.
