Goku24 Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Hi all, I recently bought a second hand 2009 A3. I noticed the traction was off as the car was skidding. I pressed the ESP button which then displayed the traction sign on the dashboard (car with way road lines underneath). But it also displayed the message that ASR is OFF. I could feel the difference in driving immediately and car was driving more stable and controlled. Could you please let me know what is going on as I assumed the dashboard sign of the car with wavy lines coming on meant that ASR is now on (from pressing the ESP button, assuming the previous owner turned it off) But a message read that ASR is off? Thanks for your help and apologies for the amateurish questions.
Steve Q Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 With an electrical fault I'd advise a diagnostic check to see what fault codes flag up.
