Simon france
Got a leaking rear brake pipe just before the flexible one, can you cut off the bad bit (corrosion) and splice a new bit of pipe and connector for the flexible pipe? Garage said I would have to replace entire pipe, ridiculous as it goes from back brake all the way to abs unit (I e just taken all covers off underneath to check)any thanks
Steve Q
I'd get a second opinion from another garage but I wouldn't be cutting any corners where the braking system is concerned.
Simon france
Hi, to replace that entire pipe you have to remove fuel tank etc etc and I haven't got the funds, I'd have to scrap car, but luckily I've bought some professional brake pipe joint connector s and a tool to make the bubble joints on brake pipes from Germany, so all is not lost!
