Stop Start

I have a 66 plate TT. It’s a Quattro, 2 litre petrol with automatic gearbox. The stop-start doesn’t always work in that it sometimes takes a second to restart at traffic lights etc. The Audi garage has done a diagnostic and can’t find the fault. Any ideas?

My first port of call would be to get the battery checked for it's performance. As I failing battery can affected all sorts of electrical systems including stop/start.
