arron1995 Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 when i accelerate from a standstill, and it seems to be a lot worse going uphill, when i accelerate and lift the clutch the car judders quite a lot, it doesnt seem to be affected by how much throttle i give or how fast i bring the clutch up, is this likely the clutch or flywheel. The clutch was changed by previous owner at 93k (or so he says), car is now on 160k. thanks.
cliffcoggin Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 If it is dual mass flywheel that is the likely cuprit and will have to be renewed. The springs break or become weak.
JMKC82 Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 I had the same issue with my 2.0 tdi 2009 VW Scirocco. Only happened in cold weather generally and first start of the day. I didn't get down to the issue, but i put it down to the remap i had and using supermarket fuel. Could be totally wrong. After a few miles from cold start, the car was absolutely fine, so i left it.

I only use shell as the one time I used supermarket fuel my car would knock its head off, doesn’t matter if hot or cold mate.

The springs break or become weak. Il leave it a little longer and if it gets to the point it’s juddering constantly that’s when il do clutch and flywheel
