Audi b7 boot showing open (avant model)

Dear fellow Audi owners,

My 2006 B7 30.tdi quattro avant has been showing as the boot is open on the dash ( I believe this is common on the estates). I have replaced the boot latch with a brand new part but still showing as open would you be able to point in as to where I should check next?
