Whistling noise whilst acceleration and deceleration

My car is making the whistling sound during and after acceleration, its definitely a new thing. It also seems intermittent at times too. Am I right in thinking it could be a hole in a hose somewhere? TIA

You gave not mentioned what engine you have, but possibly there is a split in the hose connecting the turbocharger.
