Mike Aldridge Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 My A 2007 Audi TT needs a new rear left shock absorber, I have found one in a breakers but I have been told that the magnet ride system may need re progaming ? Is this correct ?

Is this correct ? Hi are you sure its the damper as often as not it can be the wiring to the damper or the level sensor playing games. Steve. 1

Steve Q Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 If it's leaking then yes I'd say it's on the way out. However I'd strongly recommend you buy both rear shocks off the breaker car as those shocks will have worn differently to yours. Ie mileage, road conditions, the speed over those road conditions. I'd also recommend getting the fronts too to have as spares but that's just me. I've done a bit of research and discovered that the magride communicates with the instrument cluster, CAN gateway, ABS and headlight range. So you will need to get it coded I suspect. 2
