Dash lighting

Went on a ride to Leicester yesterday,(104f) in my A6 and my son was driving.

Comming back he asked me where the knob was for adjusting the instrument lighting, I am ashamed to say, I didn't have a clue.

I said, " I don't know, I never drive in the dark".

Where is it ?

I think it should be to the left of the light switch.

Nothing there Steve.

I have even looked on the MMI to see if there's a dial that can be turned up.
