Mark9918 Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Got an issue with the recirculation flap motor which seems to have failed. Does anyone have a link to the manual for the locations in the b9? Possibly behind the glove box. For future reference for others the air conditioning works when max AC is on but fails when moved to come through front vents. Where it can be heard circulating behind the dash.
jdragon Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 This could help. I'd say it's in exactly the same place as the attached manual extract
wanleg Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Hi, I’ve got the exact same issue, did you get this sorted? Where was the motor located please?
jdragon Posted August 25 Posted August 25 (edited) @wanleg They are under your glovebox. The recirculation flap motor (2) is on the left, the fresh air flap motor (3) is at the back; you can see some arms connected to this one. In my case, at least, it was (2). After removing the cover under the glovebox, the motor is fastened with 3x torx screws. You will however need someone with VCDS to run the basic settings after fitting the new motor. Unfortunately, the distance from Hartlepool to me probably doesn't make it very economical for my help with this 🙂 Edited August 25 by jdragon added wanleg 1 1

MARIUS Marius Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Hello, jdragon I have an Audi A4 b9 2018 and cold air is blowing in at the driver's feet and behind the central grille. otherwise, warm bags on all the flaps. I did the vcds diagnosis and I don't have any error on the climate control, I can't figure out which engine is faulty

Has anyone fixed this themselves? Is it a nightmare job? The garage said the same for me. It's a huge job, and they don't guarantee it will be fixed. I read on some other forums that replacing the Heater core matrix and flushing the coolant fixes the issue, so I am going to do it myself, as changing the heater core seems not too big of a job in the next 2-4 weeks.
