Almin94 Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 Hello, Two days ago I took the car to a mechanic and had the EGR turned off and the DPF filter removed because they were causing me problems. The day after, I had a strange problem when the car revs wildly and a very strange sound was heard. It only happened once when switching from D to R. Now I can't reproduce the same thing. I found the same sound on the internet and uploaded it to youtube so you can hear what it sounds like. Is it possible that this is a consequence of removing the DPF and turning off the EGR? Car specs: Audi A4 B8 2.7 TDI year 2010. 312.000 km The car is properly maintained. Two months ago, a major service was performed and the timing chains and all accompanying worn parts were replaced. https://youtube.com/shorts/O2dZ6cf1Aho?feature=share Quote
Steve Q Posted September 27, 2022 Posted September 27, 2022 Was the car remapped properly after the removal of the dpf? Should be done on a rolling road ideally for best results.
