Audi A5 B9 2.0 190

In the interest of sharing info (and to mitigate an AdBlue system related issue) I have been logging what VCDS tells me on some parameters.

My driving pattern is a 70 miles round trip for work (3 days/week) of A roads, and several 15-20 minute trips of again mostly A roads. We typically use my wife's car at weekend, otherwise I'll do another 60 miles round trip (minimum) drive on A roads.

My driving style to work is either conservative (avg. 57mph to get 76mpg+) or less patient where the economy drops to 64mpg. The shorter runs are less consistent 馃槂

I only use Esso or Shell fuel with a dose of either Archoil.

The data can be found in VCDS under: 01-Engine > Advanced Measuring Blocks > Look for 'red' values in the pop up menu

So for my vehicle, the AdBlue distance until deficiency drops at half the rate of actual mileage covered

I think I might do as others have suggested and ask the VAG specialist I go to for the next top up in approx. 14000k miles which will mean I shouldn't run it down the low low warning.

Open question:

How many miles/litre of AdBlue is everyone getting, and driving pattern?

Hi I can't give any precise figures but I have to refill about every three months which equates to about 6000 miles, bearing in mind you use a lot more doing town work, its like the EGR valve which is open more when doing town work but hardly ever when out on a motorway.

Hi at a rough guess about eleven litres goes down to 1500 miles when light comes on and takes at least seven or eight litres to fill back up.

By my estimation I'm a couple of K miles away from needing to fill up the AdBlue tank.

I'm almost certain it has the 24 litre tank.

Where do you guys buy your AdBlue from? These seem like fairly common:

Carlube AdBlue 10L with spout : Amazon.co.uk: Automotive

Redex Adblue with Easy Pour Spout, Suitable for All Makes and Models, ISO22241 Compliant, 10 Litre : Amazon.co.uk: Automotive

Has anyone used a pump instead of the containers?

It looks like the YARA is discontinued at Halfords now. I used Redex this time. It's almost double the price of other brands like Greenchem and MANNOL聽
