walterwaste Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 When I was reversing out of my driveway i noticed that my clutch made a loud ¨humming¨ sound. I continued drind also nving aoticed that my steering was rattling/scraping when i was turing and got heavier the more i drove. When I got home again i open the powersteering fluid reservoir and the fluid was empty. How should I troubleshoot this issue?
Steve Q Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 It sounds like there's a leak in the system. The noise could be because the powerfluid pump has ran dry. Definitely worth looking for any areas where it's leaked from.
walterwaste Posted October 31, 2022 Author Posted October 31, 2022 Just looking at the oilstains on the ground it looks like its coming from the steering rack. I will take a closer look tomorrow evening.

Buying a used one tomorrow and we will see if that fixes the problem.
