Meridian2000 Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Is it possible to add an external siren to the car alarm without damaging the alarm electronics and if so where can I easily pick up the feed for the siren ?
cliffcoggin Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I don't know how possible it is. Electronics is not my forte. Legally you may be on thin ice as there are regulations on how loud an alarm can be, and how long it can sound for.
Steve Q Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 The car alarm should have a siren anyway for when it goes off.

Many thanks guys for answering, I have had the car a year now, and I must admit the car is defiantly the best car I’ve ever owned. Even now I’m still finding new menus and things “to play with” . The only thing that lets me down is the noise level of the onboard siren being low, I am aware of the legal limit, but I’m also aware of the increased thefts of catalytic converters in the uk and in particular my area. I’d like to increase the volume of the car siren to help deter this pratice. I’m fortunate in that this wonderful car doesn’t suffer in false triggerings of the alarm so I’m sure my neighbours would forgive me on the one time (hopefully this doesn’t happen) my car is targeted. So I’d like to leave my question open incase someone out there knows the answer. Mick

If not you can get cages that go round the cat as well as special paint to help it more identifiable

Meridian2000 Posted December 12, 2022 Author Posted December 12, 2022 I’d still like to keep this topic open as I haven’t had a definitive answer as yet
