Ujw Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 (edited) Hi, I bought a B9 Audi A4 Sport 1.4 TFSI The SE trim was also the same price but the sport sounded nicer lol. Heard it has lower springs etc, how does that affect the ride? Anything else that's different compared to the SE? I think the seats are also different, but are they generally more comfortable? I've also noticed my car has a piano black trim running across the dash under the ac vents. But literally every other A4 I look at online has the silver trim? Edited November 23, 2022 by Ujw
Steve Q Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 Sports seats, lowered suspension by 30mm which will be firmer. Larger wheels? Slightly different body styling
TheITGuy Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 I believe both the SE and Sport (I have the latter) have the same Comfort Dynamic Suspension and it is the S-Line model that has a lower suspension which is also firmer. Seat trims are different and standard equipment was more generous with the Sport model (such as the LED interior lighting pack. The 2017 model year brochure lists these additional features for Sport models compared with SE models: Wheels ► 17” ‘5-spoke Y’ design alloy wheels ► ultra TDI models come with low rolling resistance tyres Exterior ► Radiator grille in Twilight grey matt with chrome inlays ► Air inlets in Titan black with two horizontal inlays in chrome ► Rear diffuser in Twilight grey matt Seats ► Front Sport seats in System cloth Interior equipment ► 3-spoke leather multi-function Sport steering wheel ► LED Interior Lighting Pack Audio and communication ► MMI Navigation with 7” colour MMI screen • 3D map display • MMI search • Two SDXC card reader ► Audi Sound System with 10 loudspeakers ► Audi Connect (three-month trial)^ 1
Ujw Posted November 24, 2022 Author Posted November 24, 2022 (edited) Haven’t picked up the car yet, but I noticed that my cup holders were illuminated on the test drive. Does that mean my car has the LED interior lighting package? Is that standard on sport? Does this mean the door panel is illuminated too? Edited November 24, 2022 by Ujw
TheITGuy Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Hi Ujw Yes, on the Sport model the cup holders are lit, as are the air vent controls, strips on all 4 door panels, behind the door handles and the outside of the door handles light up when the car is unlocked.
Ujw Posted November 27, 2022 Author Posted November 27, 2022 Yup ty, aw thought I could change the colour lol. But settings only has the option to change the brightness. I think that's another option
TheITGuy Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 The standard interior LED lighting is just white, there was an optional Extended LED lighting pack that gave a choice of colours:

Interesting set of post-purchase questions 😕
