Should ECU have a cover on it?

My 2016 A4 Avant doesn't appear to have a cover on the top of the ECU is this normal?

there should definitely be a cover on the ecu

Hi Gareth,

I thought it odd that there was no top cover, but I have seen some images of other A4 Avants from 2016 onwards that also don't appear to have a top cover. Do you have any pictures you can share?
