tonyhoward Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 My Q5 is kept on the driveway and the temperature was shown as -1.5c* yesterday morning (Friday 9 December) Istarted the car and the yellow key and yellow triangle appeared on the screen, together with the advice tocontact local service centre. As the temperature improvedand went positive after about15 minutes driving the symbols disappeared. Nofurther symbols appeared that day and the car operated normally. This morning, Saturday, the temperature was again -1.5c* and the symbolsand advice appeared again. When the temperature improved and went positivethe symbols again disappeared. Do I have a problem or is the car very sensitive to low temperatures? Any advice or suggestions would be welcome.
Magnet Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Hello Anthony, Thanks for joining. ‘Do I have a problem…..’. The answer would be yes, but probably not a significant one. It isn’t that the car is very sensitive to low temperatures, but the battery would be, and my stab at it is the battery is now bordering being substandard. Is this the original battery by any chance? Kind regards, Gareth.
tonyhoward Posted December 12, 2022 Author Posted December 12, 2022 Thanks Gareth, a battery problem isn’t one I’d considered-I’ll get it checked and replaced if necessary. Thanks again for your suggestion. Regards, Tony
