Hello folks

my lovely 3.2 fsi quattro estate failed his mot today.

I need advice regarding the repair and what budget I have to calculate.

Offside and Nearside Front Sub-frame pin or bush excessively worn

Many thanks for any info

Hello Jean,

Removing the complete front subframe to replace a couple of bushes would be a comparatively complex job. Can the old bushes be removed without the sub frame coming out?? Doubtful.
If this were mine:-

I would be getting a second opinion from your trusted local garage, who should be able to assess severity and justification - assuming your usual local garage isn’t where it was MOT’d. They  should also be able to estimate the cost of the repair for you.
Perhaps you could let us know how you get on.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi have a look at Powerflex bushes they may well do replacement bushes for the subframe and you don't have to take the frame out to replace the bush.

Steve.
