Emissions Light -A6

The Emissions Light appeared today on the dash. Solid amber colour. Any suggestions for a fix? Should I get it plugged in first? Or just drive hard in 3rd gear and hope it goes away? Thanks.

Yes get a diagnostic check to see what fault codes flag up.

Was that in the freezing weather recently? Have you got good anti-freeze in the coolant? Did the temp indicator rise?

The temp didn't rise 

I have coolant in the tank

It has been around freezing over the last week

The warning light has been wiped, so I'll wait and see if it appears again
