Shane G60 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Hi. I had water leaking into my boot. Checked everything from rear wiper seal, brake light in spoiler to rear light cluster and in the end it turned out to be the seal around the fuel filler flap. The water was dripping down inside, down the inner arch and pooling inside the trim. It then overspilled into the wheel well. One Philip screw holds it in from the outside but you have to disconnect the solenoid from the inside. Tube of sealant and she鈥檚 sorted 馃憤聽
Shane G60 Posted January 5, 2023 Author Posted January 5, 2023 It鈥檚 a 2007 Audi A3 2.0 TDI sportsback. This strange box was located under a metal lid held down by 10 T30 screws. No idea what it is for. It was FULL of water and no drain hole. Think it鈥檚 for goldfish 馃お

Oddjob Posted October 10 Posted October 10 So Audi a3 water leak in boot . Audi wanted 拢1000 to diagnose the leak . Using a watering can on my daughter鈥檚 car I poured upwards from light etc . When I got to the rubber seal where loom runs through the boot , it had not previously been repositioned by AUDI when they did another repair , leading to the water flowing straight in . Some ct1 clear adhesive has now fixed the issue in 30 mins at a cost of about 10p . AUDI you are bound to know these things but try to rip people off . Hope this helps others . Terry
