darrelp1996 Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Hi everyone , I recently bought a 2007 Audi A5 3.0 TDI Quattro manual . When I got the car it already had a downpipe . I recently got a map. The person who mapped it never deleted dpf from ECU. MPG after the map but before the dpf got deleted was fairly poor , around 24 MPG around the city . About a week ago got the dpf deleted from the ECU and there’s no more check engine light but the mpg has remained the same ? Anything else that is causing my mpg to be so poor ?
Steve Q Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Dpf delete won't increase your mpg that much if at all. If the car is being used for town driving only then this is probably the reason for the low mpg.
darrelp1996 Posted January 13, 2023 Author Posted January 13, 2023 Hi Steve, Maybe I’m wrong , I just thought with the dpf removed but not deleted , the car would run rough and not at its best. At the moment , I am doing a lot of city driving , occasionally on the motor way . I know bumper to bumper traffic doesn’t help .
