Geraint Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 I've had a slight misfire on my 3.2 at idle for about a week and today I was going to go for a short run and then use my super duper OBDC dongle to diagnose which cyliner was doing the misfire. 5 miles later, I had the red flashing oil warning light come on the dash, stopped the car immdiately and checked the oil level which seemed to be OK. Limped back home at low speed, temp was normal and no strange noises. I've read that this could be caused by a gummed up or leaking oil pressure switch, anyone experienced this? Thanks Geraint
Steve Q Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Yep could be the pressure switch. When I had a similar issue on my A6 I had an oil flush which helped as the gunge came out. For peace of mind I then did another oil change soon after the flush for ultimate peace of mind
