Danharriman Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 So I recently bought a 2007 Audi A6 allroad knowing that it had a problem with the suspension. Both rear air springs would drop occasionally and the ride would be bouncy but it would often pump itself back up after a while. After driving the car for a few days the rear springs would not pump up at all. I have a green and yellow flashing suspension light on the dashboard and when starting the car they come on straight away. Upon start up you can here the compressor working but the car doesn’t raise and after about a minute the compressor shuts off and the MMI is greyed out. I scanned the car and there were 5 codes: 02646 - Plausibility of Level Control System Not A Plausible Signal - Intermittent 01583 - Leak in system detected not a plausible signal - Intermittent 00453 - Function Limitation due to over temperature - Intermittent 02645 - Valves for level control system mechanical malfunction - Intermittent 00446 - Function Limitation due to under voltage -Intermittent After reading these I changed the valve block and am currently waiting for VCDS to arrive so I can clear the codes to hopefully pump all 4 corners up. Can anyone give any insight into this problem?
Magnet Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Hello Dan, It seems you are working through it, and you will eventually eliminate leaks or faulty units. If the compressor is below par - as they often are due to ceramic piston ring wear, then Bagpiping Andy ( on Ebay) will be your best source of parts or replacements. Kind regards, Gareth. p.s. Welsh Andrew:- sorry not sure what you are trying to say.
