Gianluca.pal_
i recently bought a 2014 Audi a4 1.8tfsi, but when i come to a stop and pull off straight after the car revs to about 2000 rpm and then it feels like it releases the brake and just jumps forward. The car has 89000km on it and I'm not sure which transmission it has but it has 7 gears. If anyone can recommend what I need to do it would help a lot
Steve Q
I'd recommend a diagnostic check. If you've bought it from a dealer within the last 30 days then you're entitled to a full refund or for the garage to fix the issue FOC.
Magnet
Hello, Can we take it this car is an automatic? Steve raises a very important point about any warranty with the car, so this should really be your first port of call. Even if you bought the car privately, it must still comply with the advertised description. Back to your issue - if indeed automatic, and it turns out you don’t have any form of redress from the seller:- I would be doing a search for an automatic gearbox specialist in your area and taking advice there. It could be an oil change might help, but just take the best advice you can get from someone actually driving the car. Having said that, it might be as simple as the parking brake not releasing properly. Do you always set the parking brake when you stop - or not? Perhaps you could let us know how you get on Gianluca. Kind regards, Gareth.
