A4B7AvantBuild Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 Hi all, this is my first post on this forum, so thanks for having me and taking the time ro read. Basically I am fairly new to Audis, but not to cars as I am the Son of a mechanic who once owned 4 garages, just the one now. Anyway a clutch replacement has turned into a full big turbo build and I am finding myself limited with regards to the stock Siemens ecu and Piezo injectors. I am told by Darkside and have seen various posts / videos regarding the Bosch ecu, loom and injector swap and how this opens up the full tuning potential of this engine. As of yet I have found no guides or information on what is needed and what needs to be do e to make this possible? I'm hoping that this post along with the same post on other sites / forums comes up trumps. Thanks for reading Roland 😊 My car is a 2007 Audi A4 2.0 Tdi Avant BRD PD 170 8ED
Steve Q Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 I guess the best thing to do would be to get all the correct parts from a car being broken. Regarding injectors, wouldn't it be better to get upgraded/race injectors?
A4B7AvantBuild Posted February 4, 2023 Author Posted February 4, 2023 Hi Steve, thanks for reading my post and your advice on a solution, much appreciated bud 👍 Sourcing the parts is not an issue, what I need to know is which particular A4 B7 PD140 Bosch ecu and engine loom and injector set it is used for my A4 B7 configuration. Race injectors are not needed as 120% 160% and I believe 200% nozzles are availible for Bosch injectors. 160% nozzles are good for around 400bhp, this is why the Bosch 140PD ecu and injector set is the best option for tuning. The BRD 170PD has no option for upgraded injectors and if you do try they last about a week as they are 💩! Max BHP with the Siemens setup is 270bhp, not a reliable 270bhp either! Also is not near enough for my build 😉 410 - 430bhp is my target, I just need the info on parts required and a guide for peace of mind really Roland
Steve Q Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 Ah I understand regarding injectors. I know in my case for the A6 I have to go with race injectors
