Hi Steve Q - My local mechanic advised there maybe a couple of different hubs for the same vehicle and only advised buying if the company selling use my car registration as proof of model, which i guess makes sense. apparently theres a 4 wheel drive version too out there which i dont think mine is  but ive no idea.

Quattro is the 4wd.

I'd recommend going off the part number. That's what I've had to do recently to get the lower and upper sumps for mine. Once you have the part number you can put that in eBay search bar.

Hi all,  sorry for the delay but a quick update - Instead of buying a full axle hub i risked taking the car to a different workshop - Fortunately they managed to loosen all bolts needed and replaced my coil spring, it took the mechanic a bit of time to do but all worth it in the end - with shinny new bolts fitted, but hopefully will never need replacing for a long time.

Thank You for all your input
