WillQ7 Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 (edited) New here. I imported a 2009 Q7 3.6 FSI Quattro from Japan last year. It’s only A 5 seater and looking to change it to a 7 seater as currently on 5 seater. is this possible. If so, has anyone done it and how easy/difficult is it to do. love the car, first Q7 I’ve had even if it is a little juicy. It also has aftermarket 22 inch Lexani alloys. Ideally I want to sell these and put a standard Audi set on them. Like the 19 or 20 inch, but what size will give the best ride. Thanks Edited February 25, 2023 by WillQ7
Steve Q Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Looks a lovely car. It will be an expensive retrofit. You'll need the seatbelts, seatbelt loom, seats, mounting points (metal bracing). Plus you'll have to change the v5 document. I'd recommend you speak to Audi retrofits. Or alternatively, find a q7 in a breakers yard and buy the whole kit. My old A6 is a 7 seater, and I know the conversion is quite involved and not cheap to do. This link should help: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q7-discussion-112/q7-5-seater-7-seater-2939656/
