Hello everyone and Thank you in advance for any replies. Recently bought my first Audi and am mostly loving it so far.

It's a 2010 1.6 A3 cabrio. With a front passenger window issue.

1. It doesn't drop and rise the little bit when opening and closing the door.  I believe I've elimanted the pin switch/switch at fault as it knows if the door is open or not as the interior light comes on and goes out when I open the door.  Drivers front rises and drops when opening door and one touch.

2. I have tried the window reset/learn function many times, disconnected battery and am able to reset and gain 1 touch function on other 3 windows but not passenger front.

3. When opening and closing the roof the other 3 windows open and close with the roof but passenger windows doesn't move.  (Sometimes it goes down but never up)

4. When using the button that does x4 Windows it drops all 4 but won't rise the passenger.

I have replaced the window regulator in this door as when I was trying the window reset function a million times it snapped, I thought aha that was my problem stretched window regulator ready to snap, and hoped new regulator would perhaps solve the issue but it didn't, exactly the same after new regulator, won't learn 1 touch or drop when opening door.

So my questions is, seeing as it's not the pin switch that knows if door open, not the regulator as its new could it be the passenger window control unit?  Each window has its own control unit next to its motor and I know the roof has a control unit too.

Has anyone had this problem before?

Note. Passenger window works when holding the switch up and down from both passenger and drivers side switches  Just no one touch or dropping rising when open and closing the door. Sorry for long post. I'm desperate now!! Thanks

Hi Terry, you've done a great deal with diagnostics there so well done. It could be the module, but it could also be the switch itself especially if one touch feature isn't working. It could also be the relay may be?

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up if you haven't already
