Q7N
Hi All, A couple of days ago my 2016 Q7 starting throwing up "Parking Brake Fault" on start-up. It's coincides with another showing start stop fault and hill hold fault. A local mechanic I know checked the fault codes and believes it looks like a fault parking brake switch. I've ordered this part but does anyone know how this is fitted. I'm guessing that it may be a case of removing the part of the centre console which surrounds the switch and removing from below but I'm just guessing based on videos of other audi models. Has anyone done this before? Thanks
Q7N
If anyone is interested this video shows you the centre console removing process. It's surprisingly easy...
Q7N
For information replacing the parking brake switch worked and cleared all of the faults. Quite an easy job if you're handy with a screw driver and saved a fortune going to a main dealer. Edited March 8, 2023 by Q7N
