Just call me Carlos!

At the start of the year I had 3 working cars now I have non.

Was driving my daily ford Kuga yesterday, and whilst coming to a roundabout on a 40mph duel carriageway I attempted to slow down and my brakes failed. Pedal went to the floor this resulted in a collision with another car.

Fault seems to be intermittent as when car was being delivered home brakes were working again!

However, I can't use the car with a intermittent fault like this 🤦‍♂️

Oh my goodness, as long as you are okay?

The car can be fixed although it depends if you want it back with brake failure.....sounds like the fluid has too much moisture content and boiled when braking leaving an air bubble in the hydraulic system

Would lend you my car Steve but not sure it will come back in one piece 🙂

Yea I'm all ok.

Brake fluid is definitely less than 2 years old. You know me Trevor I'm hot on maintenance. Especially with the nature of the work I do.

It was scary to say the least. But could have been worse

Well thats a strange one then and certainly one for the manufacturers to resolve by way of recall I would imagine.
The main thing is that you weren't injured

Hi Steve

I've sent a few messages to this thread, offering the engine from an A6 (AKE) Is this any good? Engine will be £500 minus the fuel pump. I read that you needed a new engine for yours?

Hi Rich,

Apologies I'd missed your post. Thank you for the offer. I think at this stage I'm going to look at getting mine rebuilt hopefully.

I saw your a6 on Facebook. Shane the gearbox has gone looks in good shape. Steering wheel is nice.

Hi Steve

No worries, I thought I'd offer before breaking. But I have started breaking now. Car has already paid for itself and I've only sold the Xenons and front wings!

I will be keeping a lot of parts to one side for my Allroad, but there will be a lot left to sell.

Yes the steering wheel is a thing of beauty but I will be selling to fund more future projects.

What's your current situation, what are you planning to do about your A6?

Damn had realised you had factory fitted xenon's on your narrow body. Would have bought them and the headlight washer system to go with it.

So after languishing at the garage since Feb, my A6 is finally home. I might attempt removing the turbo to get it ent off etc to try and learn the mechanics of the car. I figure.ive got nothing to loose.
