AJP
Hi All, Has anyone got any experience with the 0B2105266T DMF? Are there any others aftermarket’s out there from Luk or Sachs that will fit other than the VAG labelled 0B2105266T…(it’s far more expensive than any other) Engine is CJCB 2.0tdi and NSX gearbox thanks! Magnet
Why not LUK/Sachs Alex? Kind regards, Gareth.
AJP
Hi Gareth, thanks for replying I have been told that only the 0B2105266T fits my engine/gearbox combination… find it hard to believe as that’s likely a rebranded LUK/Sachs that’s already on the market… there are lots of LuK/Sachs DMFs online but the last letter of the equivalent OEM code doesn’t marry up (T)… for example one may be 0B2105266L I know the 0B2105266T is a 280mm flywheel, and Sachs have a 280mm for the CJCB engine… but for a MVS gearbox.. the sachs one is £375 and the 0B2105266T is over £1000 plus VAT… bit of a head scratcher!
Magnet
Hello Alex, Many thanks for the additional information. It has been said that the last suffix letter is simply a later dated derivative of exactly the same part, and not wishing to raise differences of opinion, I can only restate that I believe that claim to be too broad brush, but I still keep an open mind with that being correct for some parts. I have come across the ‘non availability’ of aftermarket equivalents for VAG products, and obviously the acid test would be to physically compare the …….L with your current ….T. Has your flywheel been removed from the car yet? If this were mine, I would first be getting in touch with LUK/Sachs technical department and seeking advice and hopefully - some drawing dimensions which may clarify. The necessary experience should be there. If you find this is indeed a VAG only part, then I do have a couple of contacts where a discount may apply. Perhaps you could come back to us with your findings Alex. Kind regards, Gareth.
Vali19
Hi Alex! I am very sorry to hear that you are facing the same problem as we do. We have the same CJCB engine and NSX geerbox for our Audi 2013 A4 Avant and we’ve been told that only the 0B2105266T flywheel will fit this NSX geerbox. 😞 as you say, it’s way too expensive and we were wondering if any other version will fit. We spoke with different people and mecanics and nobody can guarantee, they recommend the 0B2105266T one. We’d really appreciate if you could share any updates on what you find, if you get the flywheel for a cheaper price from somewhere or if you try a different mode/code. Any updates, advice, opinions will be very well received. Thank you very much! Valentin

AJP
Hi All, I got in contact with Schaefer/LUK and they were no help, wouldn’t give any details… I was curious to see if their aftermarket 0B2105266S equivalent would be a fit, but they were adamant it wasn’t and wouldn’t be under warranty if fitted… they said they don’t manufacture a 0B2105266T for the aftermarket I have asked Vaico for their specs on the flywheel but am yet to hear back. Btw this isn’t an option for their flywheel as it’s around £2k… when I can get the VAG for less…just hoping for some specs to compare to. I haven’t had the flywheel out yet, as it’s not a job i could do personally.. however I would feel confident comparing two against each other if I had them in hand I have just been taking it steady with the car, the slip is occasionally happening in 2nd now so not much time left… there is no rattling or worrying noises… just the slipping and odd judder from 1st gear which can be common. An option I’ve been toying with is buying the VAG flywheel and the 0B2105266S equivalent and comparing when the flywheel is out with the mechanic… would be good to shed some light on it as there isn’t much online. just luck of the draw with this model/time of manufacture by the looks of it! May have to bite the bullet, but I’m not giving up yet 🙂 l will keep you posted! Alex 1
Sean187
Hi, I'm having the same issue. Wondering if you managed to get a result on this
AJP
Hi Sean, I ended up finding the LUK 0B2105266T flywheel on eBay for £300 brand new. The garage removed the old clutch and said it was a Sachs after all… but they put the LUK flywheel in with LUK clutch plate kit clutch has been in nearly 12 months or so and all is well! Had timing belt and water pump done at the same time. I did have a bit of trouble after as the garage said they nudged an EGT sensor when removing the clutch assembly. Car ended up going into limp mode with the coil light and DPF warning coming on. New sensor sorted that. Edited March 31 by AJP 1

I'm looking at £1500 just for the flywheel and when you add it all up it's hard to justify on a car of this age and value. Common sense tells me to offload and get something else, but I love this car and would like to get another couple of years out of it. Will keep an eye out on eBay and hopefully will get lucky. Thanks again.
Jordanxuk
Did anyone try a different flywheel in the end? I'm likely needing to replace my clutch soon so I'm tempted to try fitting 0B2105266L
