Wondering if anyone can share their experience and offer recommendations for a replacement alternator make, and supplier, for a family member’s 2015 2ltr. A4 Avant.

I noticed a couple of Bosch listed at what appeared to be fairly competitive prices compared with some unknown Chinese brands, but unsure whether these are genuine.
Trusting somebody might be able to help.
Many thanks and kind regards,

Gareth.

Thanks Steve - likewise.
It’s just that some of the Bosch seem cheaper than with others sellers, and I’m just wondering if they are indeed genuine.

Having said cheaper, they are all expensive items now, as we are experiencing with virtually everything we buy.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

It's not easy to source parts I find. Especially with the increase amount of scammers.

No further responses.
What I have found:-

From Audi:- Two possible alternative part numbers, so would need to get the part number off the existing alternator - then hand over £1,300. Yes, £1,300!
Current option- CP in Motion lists a Bosch at a tad over £250. They say it’s the right one, but time will tell when it’s ordered and we try to fit it.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

£1300! That's mad.

I suppose a second hand part could be an option too?
