Duncan Sim Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Hello all you lucky Audi owners. My lovely old A6 has had a new lease of life. ( Hopefully ) She sat in the garden for 2 years. Started first turn of the key. All downhill from there. Working through a list of problems one would expect. Discs, callipers, brake pipes, steering rack, ABS sensor failures.... and all is looking do-able but... the oil warning light just came on whilst test driving... then it went out again. I checked oil level...all good... then it came on again. She doesn't appear to be overheating but its hard to tell... I ran a diagnostic... 6 error messages came up in the engine bay. Intermittent communication with various sensors... so.... my question.... does this suggest a wiring problem AND a more serious issue with an oil pump perhaps? Any suggestions? I am scared to run her because the engine is the best bit...
Steve Q Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 I'd say it could be an oil pressure switch. I'd also recommend getting an oil flush too.
