AdamsA38P Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Hey guys. I own a 2008 Audi A3. I have been having this problem for a year and keep throwing parts at it but nothing is working. I’m sick of dealing with it and am selling the car soon so I want it fixed for the next owner. in any temperature above 76° F if left sitting in the sun the dash will first turn off and I won’t have any vehicle info from the cluster. Then if it’s too too hot, the vehicle will just shut off on its own and I’ll have to wait 5-10 minutes before starting it up again. I’ve installed a crank position sensor, instrument cluster, and gateway module. And had both the cluster and gateway coded to the car. I have no idea what is causing this and I had the issue shortly after purchasing the car. Any insight or if anyone who has dealt with this before and got it fixed can help it’d be greatly appreciated
cliffcoggin Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Adam. I vaguely recall reading of a similar problem to yours on this forum a year or two back. I can not find the topic myself but it might worth you scanning over the history for it.
