hi all im trying to source a steering rack for an Audi A4 Avant 1.9 diesel part number 8E2422053TX  (54 PLATE estate  can anyone help or suggest ?

Hi try LLL Carparts on the net, plumb in your VIN and it should bring up the part and availability, other than that find a local company that rebuilds the racks.
