Hi to all fellow Audi owners. Just acquired an A4 B8 and so far all good apart from the air con. If someone could point me in the right direction to any threads discussing it I’d be very grateful. 
I have tried the search but couldn’t find any results.

Have a search using the search bar. Alternatively check out the b8 section. 

With any faulty AC I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Or get a ac specialist to check the system for leaks and pressure.
