a2tecK Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 Hi Lads and Lasses. 聽 My A4 2.0TDI 2011 CJCB (manual) developed very weird sound issue. I wouldn't start a new topic if I could locate where that sound is coming from. I need your help ppl 馃檪 About half year ago I have replaced both FL and FR wheel bearings as both were on the way out but then few days ago I have noticed similar noise. I thought to my self "BEARINGS AGAIN!?" The noise starts above 25mph. It seems to me like it comes from the centre of the engine (hard to tell when you're trying to listen from inside). I was worried that gearbox is about to die... 馃槥聽But it's not gearbox. 聽 Testes I've done so far: 1. Driving 30+ mph I switched to IDLE - no change (noise is still present) 2. Driving 30+mph on 3rd gear, clutch pressed/depressed - no change聽(noise is still present) I had a spare wheel bearing so I've replaced it two days ago hoping that will resolve the issue - I was wrong. It did not help. Faster I drive - more noticeable that noise becomes. That's why I thought it's one of the bearings initially. 聽 Is it possible that drive shaft/s make that sound when wheels are spinning? I will be very thankful for any clues 馃檪 聽 聽 聽
