A4 2006 3.0 Tdi 150kW. "Big Bang" in GCX Gearbox

So, Hello, new here, would like to understand whether this is a forum to get tips for this: Normal driving and then this Big Bang from GCX gearbox. Engine starts and runs perfectly but the car does not move in any gear selectorposition. No noice. How to start? Is it just to remove the gearbox and so on or is there any other possibilities to check this.

...just to clarify it's Four Wheel Drive and Auto Gearbox.

If there was a bang the gearbox could have failed. You could get a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up.

Thanks for reply, two codes found:

A) 17167, 3-4 "Shifting error", intermittent

B) 17119, gear 5, wrong ratio, present

What do you think?
