Audi A3 2.0 TDI knocking

Audi A3 2014 2.0TDI.

Floored in Sport mode on motorway, all up to temp.

Suddenly car started vibrating/juddering and now making this noise.

Any idea what it might be? Knocking follows rpms.

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. The knocking in my case on my old a6 is the crankshaft. Hopefully yours won't be that bad.

Scanned car with obdeleven, no codes stored. Knocking does seem to dissapear while off the throttle coasting.

This makes me think it might be bad injector as car felt like down on power a bit and mpg were lower than usual.

Will update if I find the issue.

Please keep us posted. If it were an injector you'd think it would throw up a code.
