Tamim Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 (edited) All the Controls on my Audi Q7 that are on the driver door has stopped working. The same is true for the rear door that is just behind it. Other two doors are fine. so I cannot open and close the windows on the two affected doors and also I cannot lock it using the fob or when I sit inside the car. I cannot fold my side mirrors or activate child lock. When I switch the ignition I get a warning stating that driver door lock problem on my dash. Any ideas what could be causing this. Steve Q Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Or get an auto electrican to take a look as it could be a broken wire, or a failed door module
Tamim Posted August 6, 2023 Author Posted August 6, 2023 Thank you Steve. I will take it to a workshop tmr.
Magnet Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 Hello Tamin, As Steve says, it probably is a faulty driver door lock, but it could be some fractured wiring in the flexible harness twixt door post and door, although probably unlikely on a car the age of yours. Perhaps you could let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.m

Tamim Posted August 10, 2023 Author Posted August 10, 2023 It has been in a workshop for the past 4 days. They still have not fixed it 😞
Steve Q Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Sorry to hear that. What work have they done on it?
Tamim Posted August 18, 2023 Author Posted August 18, 2023 Hi Guys, The guys in the garage were just wasting time. At the end, a reset of the driver door module fixed everything. Anyways they told me if it happens again then I better replace the whole unit. regards, tamim 1
