K200CWC Posted October 21, 2023 Posted October 21, 2023 I've just scanned my car for the first time and one of the Static errors is an IPv6 Address Conflict Can anyone shed any light on what might be causing this and how to resolve it? I done the usual internet type search and this code and message doesn't appear. The car is factory spec except for having a very expensive Audi tow bar fitted that was activated by the dealer using a key and now shows up as a factory installed item on the components list. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated Regards Chares
Optimus Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 I don’t know to be honest, but ipv6 is generally related to the designation of device IP addresses connected to a router (receiving/broadcasting) device/module. It may be related to your in car wifi/external data connectivity. In this case two connected devices are using the same IP address. it may be worth resetting all connected devices to see if this clears the fault or carry out a factory reset on your multimedia system.
K200CWC Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 I think it might be something to do with the dealerships and/or how my car is configured but a full MMI reset hasn't fixed the issue. The car has reported the U12D000 "IPv6 address conflict" messages while in the Audi main dealer workshops, 3 different ones so far. 1st dealership - Where I purchased the car from would not come back to me and have now folded. 2nd dealership - Closes one to home wouldn't even acknowledge I'd asked them, very poor service and they tried to get me to change the rear brakes, £480 estimate, stating the wear was in the amber range whereas dealer 3 has twice reported the brakes are barely warn. 3rd dealership - Has acknowledged the request and are looking into it🤞.
