musculus1 Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Hi. I have an Audi a3 1.6 TDI (2010) and it has developed a strange problem that I will try and explain. When I try to pull away with a clutch on biting point the car feels like it was labouring/choking. If I just release the clutch in first gear the car starts to move away but if I press the gas it start choking and feels like it is going to stall. If I dip the clutch to prevent stalling and add more gas (sometimes the responsiveness of the accelerator is poor) and I can pull away. It does the same in 2nd gear but no problem in 3rd, 4th and 5th. It does gets worse as the temperature drops outside. No lights on the dash board and never showed up any fault codes. Not sure if it makes any sense sorry. Please can anyone shine some light, Thanks
cliffcoggin Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Gabor. There are so many possible causes I recommend you get the engine diagnosed professionally in the first instance. That should eliminate several wild goose chases.
musculus1 Posted October 27, 2023 Author Posted October 27, 2023 Hi. It has been diagnosed but no fault codes showed up.

musculus1 Posted October 27, 2023 Author Posted October 27, 2023 It is in my original message. "never showed up any fault codes"
