Gearbox heat exchanger

Anybody had problems with the gearbox oil cooler heat exchanger if you like. I think mine may be leaking oil into the coolant. Just doing a cambelt change among other things and noticed what looks like transmisión fluid in the coolant on striping it all down.  Just wondering if any body else has had this problem.

As it's a 2.5tdi it could be a leaking egr. These have been known to leak oil into the coolant system.
